Quick and Effective Detection Is Key to Combating the Spread of Coronavir

Until now, the 2019-nCoV has cause thousands of deaths and severe economic losses in the world. Now PCR detect viral nucleic acids directly，but this method require complex procedures, expensive instruments and high skilled personnel. Consequently, developing a commercially available rapid test strip is necessary and urgent. According to the Xinhua News ,China's Nankai University has announced a breakthrough in developing a novel coronavirus rapid test kit that can identify infection among suspected patients with in 15 min. This test kit called Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) IgM/IgG antibody detection kit. The Nankai test kit is expected to be used in epidemic prevention and control soon, the university said.
